Technology Architect - Sr

Position Overview

The Technology Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, migration, and support of next-generation LAN/WAN network infrastructure across MOH PSAP locations. The role requires strong expertise in Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Palo Alto Firewalls/Panorama, IP routing, network security, QoS, Aruba ClearPass, and network automation.

The successful candidate will work closely with Network Designers, Facility SMEs, Cable Designers, and other technical teams to deploy and maintain network infrastructure in a 24x7 critical environment.


Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation

  • Collaborate with Network Designers to roll out Next Generation LAN and WAN infrastructure to MOH PSAP locations.
  • Develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), including network design workbooks.
  • Develop Cisco SD-WAN configuration policies and templates based on approved network designs.
  • Configure and deploy:
    • Cisco switches
    • Routers
    • Firewalls
    • SD-WAN devices
  • Configure BGP and OSPF routing across SD-WAN and firewall environments.
  • Perform physical installation of:
    • SD-WAN routers
    • LAN switches
    • High-availability firewalls
  • Implement QoS policies for enterprise LAN/WAN and voice traffic.
  • Develop centralized and localized traffic policies and App-Aware Routing.

Firewall & Network Security

  • Configure and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Develop and implement firewall security policies.
  • Configure and manage Palo Alto Panorama.
  • Develop and configure Palo Alto Cloud Logging.
  • Configure and deploy Out-of-Band (OOB) management firewalls across PSAP locations.
  • Support Palo Alto security technologies, including Panorama and XDR.

Network Operations & Troubleshooting

  • Test network configurations and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Maintain and support the network environment during the pilot phase.
  • Support network infrastructure in 24x7 critical environments.
  • Assist with facility remediation activities in collaboration with Facility SMEs and Cable Designers.
  • Deploy approved configurations into the network inventory database.

Network Access & Identity

  • Configure and implement Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager as the network identity management solution.
  • Support authentication and network access control requirements.

Automation & Infrastructure Management

  • Assist with network configuration management automation initiatives.
  • Use Ansible, Jenkins, APIs, and scripting to automate network device configuration and management.
  • Work with network inventory and monitoring platforms such as:
    • NetBox
    • ELK / Elastiflow
    • Ansible Tower
    • Docker

Virtualization & Systems

  • Support VMware ESXi networking, including:
    • vDS
    • Networking
    • Clustering
    • High Availability
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Windows and Unix administration.
  • Work with:
    • Active Directory
    • LDAP
    • DNS
    • Infoblox or similar DNS/IPAM solutions

Experience Requirements

  • 7–10 years of equivalent network engineering experience and/or a related degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Related technical discipline
  • Strong experience working in 24x7 critical network environments.
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in Agile and dynamic environments.
