Technology Consultant (Full Stack)

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for AI pilots and MVPs, including backend systems, APIs, databases, data pipelines, application logic, and user-facing interfaces.
• Develop AI/ML/LLM integrations and model-serving workflows, and integrate applications with departmental systems, third-party APIs, enterprise AI tools, dashboards, authentication, logging, and monitoring systems.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces for AI applications, dashboards, forms, and decision-support tools, including role-based views, filters, drilldowns, charts, and workflow interfaces.
• Ensure usability for Government users through clear empty, loading, and error states; accessibility; multilingual/Odia-ready interfaces where required; privacy notices; and consent flows.
• Implement secure backend and application design covering access control, encryption, audit logs, secrets management, PII masking, and secure file/data handling.
• Conduct user testing, troubleshoot issues, and incorporate user feedback into application iterations.
• Collaborate with business and domain stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and user-centric technical solutions.
• Hands-on development experience across both frontend and backend technologies is mandatory.

Preferred candidate profile

Mandatory

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field from a recognized university/institute

Desirable

• Masters degree in computer science or related field
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Developer/Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate, etc.) or security (CISSP, CEH, etc.)

Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience, with demonstrable ownership of production-grade applications and systems across both backend and frontend development.
• Strong experience in backend engineering, including APIs, databases, data pipelines, application development, and integration with enterprise/third-party systems.
• Strong experience in frontend development, with proficiency in modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, and core web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience in developing responsive, role-based interfaces, dashboards, forms, filters, drilldowns, and data visualizations (charts/graphs).
• Prior experience working with Government departments, public sector digital transformation programmes, or consulting-led technology projects is desirable.
