Technology Lead

We're partnering with an innovative organization seeking a Technology Lead to lead the development of modern, customer-facing web and digital commerce experiences. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring engineers while remaining actively involved in architecture, design, and development.

You'll lead a small team of developers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and help shape the technical direction of digital platforms that serve thousands of users. This role is ideal for someone passionate about modern frontend technologies, scalable architecture, and leveraging AI to improve engineering productivity.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Design, build, and enhance scalable web applications and digital experiences.
• Partner with Product, UX, and Marketing teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute hands-on to development, architecture, and technical decision-making.
• Build reusable UI components and design systems that improve consistency and maintainability.
• Integrate frontend applications with APIs, CMS platforms, and ecommerce solutions.
• Champion engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
• Monitor application performance and implement improvements that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
• Explore and implement AI-assisted development tools to improve team efficiency and software quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams or technical initiatives.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building applications using REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture.
• Experience working with CMS platforms (Webflow or similar preferred).
• Experience building reusable component libraries or design systems.
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and cloud-based services.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ecommerce or high-traffic consumer-facing websites.
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and composable architectures.
• Experience with personalization, A/B testing, or experimentation platforms.
• Passion for mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence.
