Technology Manager (PCCI DSS Compliance)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT & Software Development Manager to lead IT support and infrastructure operations while overseeing information security, PCI DSS certification, business continuity, and web application delivery. The role combines people leadership and project ownership with enough technical depth to guide developers, assess infrastructure and security risks, and ensure that technology services meet business and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
PCI DSS Compliance & Annual Certification
Own and coordinate the annual PCI DSS certification project, including planning, timelines, stakeholder responsibilities, auditor coordination, and completion of required deliverables.
Work with internal teams and external PCI auditors to prepare documentation, evidence, responses, and remediation plans.
Track compliance gaps and corrective actions through closure, and ensure relevant documentation is delivered accurately and on schedule.
Lead day-to-day oversight of PCI DSS controls across IT support, infrastructure, systems, and relevant technology processes.
Information Security, Risk & Audit
Lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of the organization’s IT security programs, policies, and procedures.
Monitor security events and threats, coordinate appropriate technical responses, and oversee periodic and ad hoc IT security audits.
Assess risks to systems, data, hardware, and software, and recommend proportionate technical and procedural controls.
IT Operations, Systems & Network Infrastructure
Lead IT helpdesk and end-user support, ensuring requests are prioritized, resolved efficiently, and delivered to agreed service expectations.
Oversee workstation provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, access controls, IT asset and software-license inventory, upgrades, and endpoint security.
Guide the design, planning, security, performance, and continuous improvement of systems and network infrastructure.
Manage IT suppliers and service providers, evaluate cost-effective solutions, and oversee procurement of hardware and software.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
Develop, review, and improve disaster recovery and contingency plans for critical assets, systems, and business functions.
Assess business impact and technology risks to establish appropriate recovery objectives and resource requirements.
Coordinate testing and integration of recovery plans with the organization’s broader business continuity arrangements.
Web & Software Development Leadership
Lead the planning, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of websites and web-based applications.
Provide technical leadership and code reviews, uphold coding and quality standards, and guide testing and quality assurance.
Oversee development using relevant technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and/or PHP.
Guide database development, repository updates, application improvements, website performance optimization, and security/stress testing.
Work with business and support teams to scope web-related projects, develop proposals, and deliver tools and applications aligned with stakeholder needs.
People, Projects & Reporting
Manage, coach, and develop IT staff; set expectations, monitor performance, and support recruitment, onboarding, and training.
Coordinate resources, timelines, and dependencies with department heads, project managers, clients, and other technology teams.
Provide clear and timely reports on delivery, risks, opportunities, incidents, and project status to management and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading IT operations and technical teams, including responsibility for systems/infrastructure and software or web development delivery.
Direct, demonstrable experience managing PCI DSS compliance and coordinating PCI DSS audits or certification activities. This is a priority screening criterion.
Experience working with external auditors, preparing compliance evidence, managing remediation actions, and maintaining security policies and controls.
Working knowledge of information security, network/system administration, access controls, incident response, and endpoint security.
Experience with disaster recovery planning, business continuity, risk assessment, and IT supplier management.
Technical understanding of web application development and at least some of the listed technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and/or PHP.
Strong leadership, project management, communication, documentation, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
