Technology Manager (Secondment 1 years)

Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 per month

Technology Manager (Secondment) HK$5xK to 6xK

Lead and manage Digital team to engage with business to develop next generation Digital IT solutions for advancing the Ascend 200 and TDA strategies in the company. Proactively advocate for and utilize technology innovation to establish XXX as an industry leader in innovation and to create business advantage.

Application Development, Architecture Design/Implementation (70%)

• Play a key role in the ideation, design and creation of scalable high-performance digital solutions

• Support Digital Transformation and Innovation team in defining and managing strategic goals and deliverables for our HK digital channels and track implementation success

• Analyzes user requirements, their existing system workflow and procedures

• Assists supervisor to conduct front-end and back-end program coding, testing and prepares technical documents that adhere both deadlines and procedures of work

• Provides continuous improvement for existing systems and streamlines software development process to control software integrity

• Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimization

• Implements IT solutions to meet user requirements and Company strategic directions

• Participates in quality management reviews

• Ensures smooth production run of application systems

System Support and Technical Advices (20%)

• Analyzes technical issues and devises & provides cost effective solutions

• Provides training to upgrade IT knowledge on business and applications

• Conducts research on new IT technology and prepares reports and recommendations

• Leads small / medium-sized projects, prepares and monitors project schedule

• Propose on IT practices on application development and system support

• Propose the feasibility of System Upgrades (OS, application framework and SDK etc.)

Other Responsibilities (10%)

• Ensures deliverables and systems comply with all applicable standards and guidelines

• Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by managers to meet business objectives

• Proactively gets updated of the latest Mobile implementation and drives for implementation

• Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained the relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements

• Ensure all xxxx HK TDA project and BAU deliverables are maintained in compliance with xxxx Group Security and other standards

Non-Financial Measures

 Full stack technical capabilities on web/mobile development, including technologies such as React/ Vue, iOS / Android app development, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, OpenAPI development etc.

 Attainment of objectives and adherence to both deadlines and procedures of work

 Accuracy and completeness of work produced

 Qualitative feedbacks on user evaluation of projects

 Online availability of supported systems meeting stipulated SLA

 Effective problem-solving skills

Internal

 Discussion with users / stakeholders on user requirement, design approach, testing procedure and expected result.

 Presenting IT solutions to users

 Conduct user training

 Communicate with teammates regarding work progress / done and business update

 Communicate with xxxx Infrastructure / Data Centre teams on operation job support

External

 Meeting / discussion with outsources partners / vendors

 Meeting / discussion with business partners for IT matters such as software implementation and testing procedure.

Education & Experience

 University / College graduate in computer science

 Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

 Preferably with knowledge on Insurance industry

 Preferably with experience on Cloud technology

 At least 4 years’ experience is at the supervisory role leading team of development work

Competency

 Solid experience in development of Digital (Web/Mobile) frontend and/or backend applications

 Experience in an Agile/Scrum team with system development best practices

 Experience in Cloud Adoption using Microsoft Azure or AWS.

 Experience in digital/web development using Angular/React/Vue, Java Spring Boot, node.js and MongoDB.

 Experience in API Development and Microservices Architecture Design.

 Experience in identify access management and authentication standards like OAuth, OpenID connect or SAML.

 Experience in Container technology like Docker and Kubernetes.

 With Adobe Experience Manager / Adobe Analytic experience would be a plus.
