Summary

A jack-of-all-trades Technology Operations Specialist at Artful Home (Guild Brands) who provides first-line helpdesk support across Windows, Mac, and Unix, QA-tests in-house ecommerce software, maintains agile process docs and tickets, and pulls data for site analytics and conversion optimization. Must be based in the Los Angeles area for occasional on-site work.

Guild Brands is the parent company of Artful Home and Uno Alla Volta, brands that connect people with handcrafted, original art and design from independent artists. Behind our websites is a small, close-knit Technology team that supports both brands and keeps everything running, and we're looking for a versatile problem-solver to join it.

This is a true jack-of-all-trades role. On any given day you might help a colleague get unstuck, test a new feature before it ships, wrap up a sprint retro, or pull numbers to help us understand how shoppers move through our site. If you like variety, enjoy helping people, and get a kick out of figuring out why something is broken, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

  • Be the friendly first stop for tech help: troubleshoot computers, accounts, software, and networks for colleagues across Windows, Mac, and Unix systems.
  • Test our in-house software and its connections to third-party tools, and write clear bug reports so developers can fix issues quickly.
  • Keep our development process humming: maintain the changelog, document sprint retrospectives, and keep tickets tidy and up to date.
  • Pull and combine data from several systems to support conversion rate optimization and ecommerce website analytics.
  • Use AI tools to work faster and smarter, from drafting test cases to summarizing data.
  • Be the Technology team's presence at our Los Angeles office when we need hands on site.
  • Great people skills. You're patient, clear, and kind when someone's having a frustrating day.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Unix/Linux.
  • Working knowledge of basic networking and comfort using the terminal and SSH.
  • Experience testing software, with a sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Comfort working with data in spreadsheets and/or basic SQL.
  • Some hands-on experience using AI tools in your work.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation habits.
  • You live in the Los Angeles area and can come into our LA office when needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Jira (or similar) and Scrum practices.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce, web analytics, or A/B testing tools.
  • Basic scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Experience as a Microsoft 365 admin, and experience with a device-management tool (Jamf, Intune, PDQ, or similar).
  • Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • CompTIA A+/Network+ or similar certification.

Benefits

  • 401(k) and 401(k) matching
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Flexible spending account
  • Employee assistance program
  • Paid time off
  • Employee discount
  • Referral program
