Title: Technology Operations Specialist II
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate efficiency, accuracy and communication skills in order to complete all scheduled and assignments issued by the supervisor.
- Ability to reach top shelf of 6'6". Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion. Ability to reach top file drawer (5ft) or bottom drawer (4in) off floor.
- Ability to perform data entry.
- Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently without direction or supervision.
- Possess a positive customer service attitude.
- Required to have the following items:
- Valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Working phone number or emergency phone listing.
- Proper mailing or home address.
- Ability to operate all office equipment with special emphasis on computer skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions which do not depart from district policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all records or transactions of the department.
Reports To: Chief Information Officer
BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
This individual works under the supervision of the Senior Computer Technician performing tasks necessary to support clients, track inventory, and maintain equipment.

The employee performing the duties of this position is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend, stoop, and reach. The employee may be occasionally required to manually lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to interact with staff and meet the demands of several different people. The employee is responsible for the work output of others. The employee occasionally works extended hours. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not all-inclusive)
- Organize and maintain all technology assets (computers, tablets, network equipment, etc.) assigned to the Technology Department throughout the District
- Organize and audit consumable inventory (adapters, repair equipment, etc.)
- Periodically audit assets as needed
- Provide backup to the duties of receiving all technology assets by inspecting shipments for damage, enter data into asset management system where appropriate, and deliver equipment where appropriate.
- Maintain SMART equipment (SMART boards, projectors, clickers, monitors):
- Maintain a log of equipment sent out for repair and returned.
- Answer the help desk calls and attempt to resolve the issue over the phone where applicable in an overflow capacity and backup to the Technology Operations Specialist I
- Maintain student and staff logins in Active Directory
- Data entry of help desk calls into service desk software as needed
- Assist staff walking into the office with Technology Department
- Assist with configuration of district telephones as needed
- Research best price for all technology purchases as needed
- Create purchase orders for the Technology Department as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Term of Employment: 12 Months
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Evaluation Frequency: Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of one time per year.
