Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and continuous evolution of the Firm's Data Governance strategy, roadmap, and priorities
• Drive governance initiatives and programs that strengthen data quality, ownership, lifecycle management, information protection, and AI readiness
• Provide recommendations to leadership and governance committees on emerging risks, opportunities, and governance decisions
• Establish success measures, monitor program outcomes, and manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution across multiple initiatives
• Build strong partnerships across Service Lines, Regions, Resource Groups, IT, and business stakeholders to align governance practices with organizational objectives
• Act as a trusted advisor, influencing the adoption of sustainable data governance practices while balancing business needs and operational realities
• Collaborate with technical teams to support governance initiatives involving Microsoft 365, Purview, data classification, retention, reporting, and information management solutions
• Translate business requirements into actionable governance solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Lead governance communications, stakeholder engagement, change management, and training initiatives to drive awareness and adoption
• Maintain governance documentation, policies, records, and reporting to support oversight, compliance, and continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience leading governance, program management, business transformation, or strategic initiatives in a complex organization
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build consensus across business and technical teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, business-focused recommendations
• Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, processes, or operating models
• Familiarity with data governance, information management, privacy, compliance, or information protection practices
• Experience supporting change management, communications, training, and adoption initiatives
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Purview, or similar governance and information management technologies is considered an asset
