Technology Specialist
Summary
On-site IT support role maintaining Windows/Apple devices, Microsoft 365, POS systems, and network equipment across multiple Goodwill locations in Georgia.
BASIC FUNCTION
The Technology Specialist provides on-site technical support for Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia & the CSRA, supporting retail stores, restaurants, hospitality venues, career centers, Helms College campuses, and administrative offices. This role installs, maintains, and troubleshoots computer hardware, Microsoft 365, Windows and Apple devices, printers, Point-of-Sale systems, end-user devices, and enterprise applications. The Technology Specialist also assists the Network Administrator with network equipment installations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure projects while delivering outstanding customer service and timely issue resolution.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrate Goodwill core values through service, ownership, accountability, and respect.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues discovered and/or reported by end users.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Apple desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, VPN, Wi-Fi, Point-of-Sale systems, and enterprise applications.
• Assist the Network Administrator with network equipment installations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure projects.
• Create and manage Microsoft 365 user accounts, licenses, and permissions.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory and technical documentation.
• Manage Zendesk tickets and communicate status updates to users.
• Travel to Goodwill locations throughout Middle Georgia and the CSRA (50–70%).
• Participate in technology deployments, upgrades, after-hours maintenance, and rotating on-call support.
• Participate in regular professional development requirements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
