Technology Support Specialist
4 Day School Week
Primary Purpose:
The Technology Support Specialist is responsible for customer satisfaction of technology users, problem determination/diagnosis and resolutions, call routing if necessary, logging, and follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Education/Certification:
Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field preferred. Years of experience may be substituted for education.
Apple Macintosh Technician Certification and/or Windows certification a plus.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Thorough knowledge of Windows, Mac OS and Apple iOS.
Exposure to both Windows and Macintosh environments. §Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Knowledge of how to support both hardware and software in a LAN or WAN based environment. (two to three years experience preferred)
Proficiency in at least one word processor, one e-mail package and one spreadsheet package.
Experience in at least two of the following: MS Word, Excel, Windows XP, TCP/IP, Filemaker Pro, Cisco routers
Experience:
Prefer a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in desktop computer support.
