About the role
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining automation systems that enhance the efficiency of internal business processes. The role encompasses managing the entire lifecycle of AI-driven tools and integrations, from their initial development stages through to production support and resolution of any incidents that may arise.

What you'll do
- Develop and implement internal automation solutions utilizing AI technologies and large language model (LLM) platforms, alongside chatbot frameworks and system integrations.
- Oversee GitLab repositories, manage merge requests, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure high standards of code quality and reliability.
- Continuously monitor system performance using observability tools and conduct root cause analyses during incidents to identify underlying issues.
- Take charge of incident response initiatives, which includes participating in war-room discussions and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Create, maintain, and enhance operational runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other technical documentation to support team operations.
- Engage in Agile methodologies by participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster team collaboration.
- Refactor and enhance existing automation scripts to boost scalability, security, and overall performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and support to team members on automation tools and best practices to foster a culture of learning and development.
- Analyze system performance metrics and user feedback to inform future automation projects and enhancements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AI and automation technologies to ensure Grab remains at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software, platform, or automation engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python, particularly for scripting and automation purposes.
- Demonstrated experience with GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline management and repository oversight.
- Familiarity with incident management protocols, including conducting post-incident reviews and impact assessments.
- Experience working with AI and LLM platforms, such as ChatGPT or Claude, for developing workflow solutions.
- Knowledge of chatbot frameworks, including Slack-Bolt and Atlassian Forge, is essential.
- Proficient in using monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Elasticsearch, or Kibana for system health checks.
- Daily use of Jira, Confluence, and Slack is expected for project management and team communication.
- Proven track record in deploying and managing production-level automation systems effectively.
Nice to have
- Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n or Workato, which can enhance automation capabilities.
- Familiarity with serverless integration frameworks that can streamline processes.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 or similar ticketing systems for managing escalations and support requests.
