Teen Adventure Camp Assistant Director - Camp Campbell

General Functions: To be responsible for all teen adventure trips in and out of camp and assist in staff training and development throughout the summer season.

This is a seasonal role that runs from May - August, 2027

Pay Range: $900.00 - $930.00/week

Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist the Summer Camp Director in planning and carrying out pre-camp and in-service staff training, and creating travel staff survival manuals
• Responsible for programming all elements of trips including: food ordering and receiving, additional driver as needed, scheduling day trips, resident camp overnights
• Contributing to the leadership team in evening programs, campfires, and daily/weekly schedules
• Directly supervise and appraise the teen adventure camp counselors on trips
• Maintain proper records as required by the Director
• Coordinate matters of interest in areas of overlapping responsibility while always seeking the best solution for campers and the camp
• Check in with counselors on trips daily; provide appropriate support and leadership for each counselor
• Attend all teen adventure camp off-site trips, both day and overnight
• Perform other leadership duties as assigned when teen adventure camp is not in session
• Use established system for communication with other camp departments
• Assist in behavior management escalations when needed and document all events
• Responsible for the health and welfare of campers/staff on all trips
• Be able to communicate and work well with other members of the leadership team
