Tehnical Product Manager - Payouts
Summary
Félix, a Series C fintech serving Latinos in the US, is hiring a Technical Product Manager to own its Payouts Platform — the shared service moving money to LatAm via bank transfers, instant payment rails, wallets, cash networks and crypto rails. Day to day: set roadmap, partner strategy, routing/reliability, and cost and success metrics.
- Set the vision and roadmap. Define where the Payouts Platform goes next, and balance new capabilities, reliability and cost in your priorities.
- Build a platform every product can use. Turn payouts into a shared, self-serve capability that any product team can adopt quickly, so Félix can launch new products without building payouts from scratch each time.
- Expand reach. Decide which markets and rails to invest in next, across Latin America and beyond, including instant payments, wallets, cash networks and crypto rails. Lead the platform side of each launch with FX, Compliance and Treasury, and shorten the time to go live.
- Shape partner strategy. Define what the platform needs from payout partners, compare their performance, and decide which ones to integrate or route more volume to. That includes building direct connections to major payout providers alongside aggregator partners. Make partner decisions for new capabilities alongside the Business Development team, which owns the commercial relationships.
- Improve performance. Define the routing and validation strategy that raises success rates and speed while lowering cost per payout.
- Reduce manual work. Prioritize product improvements that remove manual handling of failed and returned payouts, working with Ops and the Ops Platform. Give product teams real-time visibility into every payout.
- Align across teams. Make sure every payout is compliant, funded and supportable. That means working with Compliance on screening, Treasury on liquidity, and product teams on the experience they build on top of the platform.
- Set service commitments. Define the reliability and performance levels product teams can count on, and prioritize the work to meet them with the engineering team, which owns delivery. Report on the success, speed and cost of payouts.
- Product experience: 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years on payments, payouts or money movement products.
- Platform and API experience: you've owned a product whose main customers were other teams or developers.
- Rails knowledge: you understand how payout rails and partners work, including settlement timing, returns, failure modes and partner SLAs. Experience with LatAm rails (for example SPEI, PIX or ACH-style bank transfers) is a strong plus.
- Partner integrations: a track record of taking third-party integrations from evaluation to production, with engineering and commercial teams.
- Data fluency: comfortable with SQL and with defining and tracking reliability and cost metrics.
- Clear communication: you can explain trade-offs to engineers, ops teams and executives alike.
- These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.
- Experience with crypto or stablecoin rails for payouts or settlement
- Working knowledge of payments compliance, such as sanctions screening and transaction monitoring
- The starting base salary for this role typically ranges between $170,000 and $220,000 USD in New York, tailored to experience and skill set.
