ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a team member that is highly motivated and customer oriented! Our Drivers are responsible for delivering our product to a set of accounts across an established route. The day-to-day will include vehicle inspections, routing delivery invoices, loading and un-loading trucks, visiting licensed retailers to drop off wine deliveries, merchandising loads on-site, and providing exceptional customer service. If you are a team player with the ability to work early mornings, we would love to meet with you! This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of 4-6 months.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Reads production schedules and customer order to determine items to be distributed.
- Routes delivery invoices and Loads truck accordingly.
- Drives vehicle to deliver items to assigned customer's place of business in a timely manner.
- Unloads product from vehicle safely and places it in customer’s establishment where directed.
- Assembles orders from loading station and stacks into trucks.
- Conducts mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections and completes checklist; checks for any vehicle damage; checks load and ensures stability of vehicle load to avoid product damage.
- Provides person-to-person customer service during all deliveries; listens to and helps resolve customer complaints; refers billing issues to Customer Service department; represents the Company with courtesy to customers and while driving; phones in shortages and requests for next day deliveries.
- Records sales or delivery information on delivery records.
- Collects or picks-up empty containers, rejected or specified merchandise.
- Obtains customer signature on receipt for pick-up or delivery.
- Cleans inside of truck.

Not everyone can be a Driver. To be seriously considered for the role here is what you’ll bring:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Physical requirements:
- Lifting and carrying: this role may involve lifting and carrying product samples, promotional materials, or demonstration equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness
- Able to get in and out of van and walk up and down stairs throughout your shift
- Required to sit for periods of time
