Key Responsibilities\:

1.

Take charge of a section of Microbiology laboratory and a Microbiology laboratory shift.

2.

Conduct and exercise quality control on routine and special medical laboratory tests.

3.

Perform 24 hours’ shift duties for essential services as required.

4.

Participate in method and instrument evaluation.

5.

Participate in new test and service development.

6.

Train laboratory staff.

7.

Assist in setting up a quality system and participate in continuous quality improvement and risk management.

8.

Perform other relevant duties as assigned by senior management of the laboratory.

9.

May require to rotate to work in other laboratories in Kowloon Central Cluster.

Entry Requirements\:

1.

Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.

2.

At least 5 years' experience in medical laboratory services.

Preferable Attributes/Exposure\:

1.

MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent. (See Remarks 2)
