Temporary Programme Manager, BLOCK71 Japan (12-month Contract)
1. Programme Execution Planning
- Develop detailed programme plans, including timelines, logistics, roles and responsibilities, and execution requirements.
- Translate programme concepts into practical implementation plans.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to confirm programme details and delivery requirements
2. Programme Operations and Administration
- Manage operational and administrative tasks required for programme delivery, including contracts, arrangements, system registration, invoicing, payments, and documentation.
- Coordinate internal processes, approvals, vendor arrangements, and other practical steps needed for smooth execution.
- Maintain programme-related records, trackers, and operational documents.
3. Programme Management and Stakeholder Coordination
- Monitor programme progress, milestones, issues, and deliverables.
- Coordinate communication with participants, partners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Manage detailed coordination with stakeholders in Japan, including government agencies, corporates, universities, startups, mentors, and other partners.
- Identify issues or risks and follow up with relevant parties to resolve them.
4. Programme Delivery, Marketing and Reporting
- Prepare for programme delivery, including logistics, materials, schedules, and briefing documents.
- Support or lead on-site operations during programme sessions, events, workshops, visits, and meetings.
- Prepare programme marketing materials, participant-facing documents, reports, post-programme summaries, and other communication materials.
Others
- Support visitor hosting and visit coordination as needed
- Provide regular reporting to the Centre Director
- Perform other tasks as instructed by the Centre Director
Requirements
- Experience in programme management, project management, event operations, or a similar role
- Strong organisational and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders
- Good communication skills in English and Japanese to support regular communication and programme coordination with stakeholders in Japan
- Experience with administrative processes such as contracts, invoicing, payments, system registration, or reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage programme execution smoothly
- Strong interest in startups, innovation, or entrepreneurship
This is an hourly-rated position.
