You will be part of the Global Center of Competence Power Quality in Västerås, where we develop and deliver advanced FACTS technology that increases power system capacity and stability with minimal environmental impact worldwide.

We are now looking for a Tender Coordinator Electrical Design for our GCoC Service department, which supports our installed base throughout the entire plant lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment at the forefront of the industry.

How you´ll make an impact

  • Coordinate electrical design activities for upgrade tenders and service offerings, ensuring compliance with established processes.
  • Lead and support tender work for electrical design scopes within service projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and proposing enhancements to offerings and processes.
  • Translate technical and customer requirements into validated and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, project managers, suppliers, local Hitachi Energy offices, and customers.
  • Support fault tracing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for electrical installations in the installed base.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of upgrades and updates for control systems, relay protection, and auxiliary power systems.
  • Promote Hitachi Energy’s values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your work and supporting colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, with experience in a similar role within the Power Systems industry.
  • Experience working with products and/or service business operations is considered an advantage.
  • Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Electrical Design, Relay Protection Configuration & Testing, Auxiliary Power Calculations, Commissioning, or E3 CAD.
  • Analytical skills with a quality-focused mindset and the ability to develop and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Service-minded professional with a strong commitment to quality and on-time delivery, combined with ownership of planning and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and an openness to new ideas and perspectives.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
