Tender Manager (M&E)
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Tendering and Estimation Department, ensuring effective planning and execution of all tender activities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs for tendering processes and departmental operations.
- Coach and develop team members by strengthening their cost estimation knowledge and upgrading relevant skill sets.
- Manage pre-tender activities, including pre-qualification exercises and tender briefings.
- Oversee the preparation and review of base cost estimates for all tenders.
- Conduct technical and commercial risk assessments to support tender submissions.
- Prepare and review cash flow projections and P&L forecasts for tenders.
- Supervise the development of project management proposals and technical submissions.
- Coordinate tender submissions with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Review tender notices to assess feasibility and winning potential before participation.
- Present tender proposals, including risk analysis, tender strategy, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts for approval.
- Lead tender presentations and interviews with clients.
- Track tender outcomes and provide recommendations on tender strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop, standardise, and enhance cost summary templates, proposal models, and gap analysis tools used across the organisation.
Job Requirements:
- At least Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or commercial management in construction or M&E industry.
- Experience leading a tendering/estimation team.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, cash flow forecasting, and risk assessment.
- Skilled in preparing tender proposals and presenting to management and clients.
- Proficient in Excel and relevant cost/project management tools.
