Tennis Shop Attendant

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. - Performs opening and closing procedures for the shop or store as determined by management
- Ensures accountability for POS transactions
- Collects applicable fees from members, guests, and outside patrons as they arrive
- Makes court, clinic, lesson, and special event reservations, in person or by phone
- Assists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner
- Assists with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderly
- Assists with general cleaning of the shop or store
- Assists shop supervisor with creating appealing displays
- Assists with monthly physical inventories
- May work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play times
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Performs other duties as required or needed
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., the associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
- Ideal candidate will be an active tennis player with knowledge of the game
- Retail sales experience is preferred
- Computer proficiency including, but not limited to, POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media, and other programs related to tennis such as tennisdirector.com or ClubAutomation

Frequently stands and uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, and talks or hears

Regularly walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches

Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
