Terminal Manager, Cathay Cargo Terminal Dongguan

Key Responsibilities

• To provide the leadership direction for Operations, Safety and Security, IT and Engineering functions to ensure the smooth operations for the Cathay Pacific Services (Dongguan) with supports from the Functional team and Back Office team in Hong Kong.
• To manage the overall daily terminal operations through effective advance planning and allocation of manpower and resources.
• To lead the subcontractors staff to ensure delivery of agreed Services Level Agreements (SLAs) to all airlines and customers.
• To determine the execution of Emergency & Accident procedure and Business Continuity Plan as situations required.
• To participate in cargo terminal related activities; create and maintain good rapport with key stakeholder such as airport authority, government agencies, freight forwarders, intermodal operator, airlines and other users of the terminal.
• To have a strong commercial and operational focus to drive results and growth by building on the new customer services structure and operational initiatives.
• This role requires frequent travel between Hong Kong and Dongguan, as well as work in Dongguan.
• This is Assistant Operations Manager equivalent job. The successful candidate will be seconded to Dongguan (ZTI).

Requirements

• Tertiary level educational qualification preferably in Logistics or Transportation.
• Preferably 5 years’ experience in airlines, air cargo terminal, ground handling agent, logistic company, warehouse or freight forwarding company, of which minimum 3 years in a supervisory level or above
• Quality conscious, innovative and change oriented;
• Maturity with highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to work effectively with all levels of personnel in different functions
• Strong leadership and experience in managing a round the clock operations with staff at various levels.
• Hands-on experience in air cargo terminal operations would be an advantage.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
