Territory Manager
Dealer Floor Plan Business Development & Account Manager
Cincinnati, OH Market | Field-Based Position
Build relationships. Find opportunities. Own your market.
Are you the kind of person who would rather be out building relationships and creating business than sitting behind a desk waiting for leads?
We are looking for a driven, trustworthy professional to help grow our dealer floor plan business throughout the Greater Cincinnati market.
This is a highly independent, field-based role for someone who enjoys variety, knows how to manage their own schedule, and is comfortable spending their day visiting dealerships, attending auto auctions, meeting independent dealers, prospecting for new business, and taking care of existing customers.
We need a hunter.
The right person doesn't need someone telling them where to go or what to do every hour of the day. You'll be trusted to manage your territory, prioritize your workload, build your pipeline, protect the company's interests, and deliver results.
If you understand the automotive business—or know how to build credibility with business owners—and enjoy turning conversations into long-term customer relationships, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
You'll have two equally important responsibilities: grow the business and protect the portfolio.
Grow Your Market
- Prospect and develop new independent dealer relationships throughout the Cincinnati market.
- Identify potential customers through dealership visits, auctions, networking, referrals, cold calling, online research, and industry relationships.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospective floor plan customers.
- Develop additional business within existing customer relationships.
- Maintain a regular presence at local auto auctions, dealerships, industry events, and other places where dealers do business.
- Understand each dealer's business and identify opportunities where our financing solutions can help them grow.
- Meet and exceed established quarterly and annual growth objectives.
Build Relationships
This isn't transactional selling. We want someone who becomes a trusted resource to our dealers.
You'll maintain regular contact with customers, learn their businesses, understand their challenges, and develop relationships that create long-term value for both the dealer and our company.
That requires someone who is personable and persuasive without being pushy—someone who can walk into a dealership, start a conversation, earn credibility, and build from there.
Manage Your Portfolio
Growth is important, but so is protecting the business.
You'll conduct monthly on-site contract compliance and inventory audits for assigned floor plan customers and identify potential concerns before they become larger problems.
You'll be expected to:
- Conduct accurate and timely dealership inventory audits.
- Monitor customer activity and contract compliance.
- Recognize potential account or inventory concerns.
- Communicate issues promptly to leadership.
- Work collaboratively to identify practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and communication with headquarters.
- Handle sensitive financial and customer information with discretion and integrity.
What Makes Someone Successful Here
We're looking for a professional who is:
Self-directed. You don't need constant supervision to stay productive.
Trustworthy. You'll be working independently with customer relationships, financial information, inventory, and company resources. Integrity is non-negotiable.
A hunter. You're comfortable introducing yourself, asking for the business, following up, hearing "not yet," and continuing to build the relationship.
Relationship driven. You understand that today's conversation may become tomorrow's customer.
Business minded. You're interested in how dealerships make money, manage inventory, finance vehicles, and grow their operations.
Comfortable in the automotive environment. Dealerships and auto auctions aren't traditional office environments, and that's exactly what you like about them.
Organized. Independence only works when you can manage your calendar, follow-ups, audits, customer commitments, prospecting activity, and reporting without someone chasing you.
Results oriented. You like having a market to develop and measurable goals to achieve.
Curious. You want to understand your customers, your competition, industry trends, and how to get better at what you do.
This Job May Be a Great Fit If You've Worked In:
Automotive floor plan financing, independent or franchise dealerships, auto auctions, dealer sales, automotive lending, commercial lending, territory sales, outside sales, dealer development, automotive remarketing, or another relationship-based B2B sales environment.
Direct floor plan experience is valuable, but we are equally interested in the right combination of automotive knowledge, business development ability, integrity, and drive.
The Opportunity
The Cincinnati market represents a significant growth opportunity for our business.
We're not looking for someone simply to maintain what already exists. We're looking for someone who sees an open market and thinks:
"I can build something here."
You'll have the opportunity to develop relationships, grow your customer base, establish yourself within the local dealer community, and directly influence the success of your territory.
If you're a self-starter who values independence, enjoys the automotive industry, likes meeting people, and gets satisfaction from turning relationships into measurable business growth, we'd like to meet you.
Apply today and tell us about the market, relationships, or book of business you've helped build.
