Territory Sales Manager - Central Region
Work Territory: Must reside in Central Region (prefer Ohio or Illinois)
Central Region (Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota)
Compensation: Base Salary, plus bonus
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to drive profitable growth by expanding the customer base and growing sales revenues through targeted resellers within a specified geographic territory. The Territory Sales Manager must have the knowledge and capability to present our major product lines and services to targeted resellers, including both small and medium-sized businesses and larger more sophisticated enterprise level organizations. Also, the Territory Sales Manager must be able to create a growth strategy within the territory and specific customers and be active in engaging the executive team of these target partners.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Grow the revenue produced by a targeted group of resellers by introducing new technologies to these focus accounts as well as increasing the revenue derived from a widening product portfolio inclusive, but not limited to telephony, data networking, physical security, and video conferencing products.
- Develop and maintain high levels of technical and professional sales competence. Maintain the ability to comprehend the technical nature of the Company’s and its competitor’s major product lines and system solutions and effectively communicate them to prospective customers.
- The success of this position is measured by achievement of specific quarterly and annual goals.
- Provide territory intelligence and serve as an essential resource for inside sales team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with major vendors and field peers.
- Enter sales data into the Company’s CRM/Pipeline software and track prospective customers through selling cycle.
- Responsible for administrative duties of the following reports: territory planning, bi-weekly briefings, CRM meeting notes, market summary, field sales, customer profiles, corporate initiative, expense reports, etc.
- Other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned as the job requirements dictate.
- Minimum of 50 F2F/Virtual appointments per quarter
- Knowledge of territory, operations, reseller strategic direction, and basic P&L concepts.
- Must be skilled in conducting face-to-face presentations to customers, negotiating, closing sales, and account management Strong presentation skills
- MS Office - 2010 (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and PC fluency required.
- Must be highly motivated and possess a personal commitment to the success of the organization.
Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of networking/data, telephony, video conferencing and physical security
- Experience calling on Resellers, VARs, MSPs, Cloud Service Providers
- Bachelor’s Degree or four years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of industry experience is a must – Networking and/or UC experience strongly preferred.
Travel Requirements:
50% Travel
Physical Requirements: (In compliance with ADA)
- Ability to sit for extended periods, including during automobile and air travel.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while visiting customers, attending trade shows, conferences, meetings, and company events.
- Ability to frequently travel by automobile and air, including domestic travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to use a computer, telephone, mobile device, and other office equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through virtual meetings.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move materials weighing up to approximately 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, or move around customer and trade-show environments as needed.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including office settings, customer locations, trade shows, conferences, and other business facilities.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
