Test Analyst (Job #741)

Summary

Defense Acquisition Support Services (DAS) is seeking a motivated Test Analyst to support the U.S. Air Force Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO/MRO-S) programs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

The selected candidate will support the Functional Management Office (FMO), performing hands-on software and IT systems testing to ensure system functionality, reliability, and mission readiness.

Candidates must have 3+ years of relevant DoD/Air Force IT systems testing experience and be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1 (NACI) background investigation. An active security clearance is not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute test plans, procedures, test cases, and test scenarios for software and IT systems.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user-focused testing to validate system functionality and performance.
• Identify, investigate, track, and document software defects, discrepancies, and testing results.
• Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify system issues and verify corrective actions.
• Support Agile software development and testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with developers, functional analysts, and government stakeholders to investigate and resolve system defects.
• Ensure testing activities and documentation comply with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force policies, standards, and processes.
• Support testing associated with the deployment and implementation of MRO/MRO-S production solutions.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation and communicate test progress, results, risks, and issues to program stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external organizations to support program testing objectives.
• Assist in improving standardized testing processes, procedures, tools, and best practices.

Background Investigation Requirement:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1 (NACI) background investigation.
• An active DoD Secret security clearance is not required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of Air Force and/or Department of Defense IT systems testing experience.
• Experience performing hands-on software or IT systems testing.
• Experience developing and executing test cases, test procedures, and documenting test results.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, standards, processes, and tools.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and testing practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with technical teams, functional stakeholders, and government customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Air Force IT system test and evaluation.
• Experience with DoD and Air Force software testing policies, processes, and documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity evaluation and software accreditation processes.
• Experience supporting software deployment, implementation, and production environments.
• Experience with test process improvement and standardized testing practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Planner and Project.
