Test Analyst

Job Description:

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Prepare and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, test data, test scripts, and test execution reports.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform defect investigation and collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other project stakeholders to resolve identified issues.
• Participate in requirements reviews, test planning sessions, sprint ceremonies, and project quality activities.
• Validate application functionality, business rules, data integrity, system integration, and end-to-end processes.
• Prepare test status reports, defect summaries, test completion reports, and other QA documentation.
• Ensure testing activities comply with established quality standards, SDLC processes, and client requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience in functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test data, and defect reports.
• Familiarity with defect-management and test-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
