About the role
This hands-on contract role will support functional, integration, end-to-end and regression testing across an enterprise private health insurance environment. The successful candidate will validate claims-processing workflows, business rules, data flows and connected applications, while working collaboratively with business and technology teams to deliver reliable project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, design and execute functional, integration, end-to-end and regression tests for insurance products and related applications.
- Validate claims-processing workflows, business rules, integrations and data flows across connected systems.
- Create and execute risk-based scenarios, test cases and test data; maintain traceability, execution evidence and documentation.
- Identify, log, investigate, prioritise, retest and track defects through resolution; contribute to defect triage.
- Proactively escalate quality risks, blockers and dependencies that could affect delivery or release readiness.
- Work with Business Analysts, Developers, Test Leads, Project Managers and business stakeholders to confirm acceptance criteria and testing outcomes.
- Support SIT, UAT, release readiness, quality reporting and project ceremonies.
- Contribute to consistent testing practices and compliance with applicable healthcare and regulatory requirements.
About you
- Hands-on Civica Ensure platform experience – essential.
- At least 3 years of claims-processing experience – essential.
- Practical private health insurance experience – essential.
- At least 7 years of functional software testing experience – essential.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, insurance business processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in functional, integration, end-to-end and regression testing, including risk-based test design and traceability.
- Strong defect investigation, triage, retesting and reporting skills.
- Ability to validate complex business workflows, system integrations and data accuracy.
- Clear communication, analytical thinking and collaboration across business and technical teams.
