Summary
This Test Analyst role involves collaborating with a Scrum team to design and execute risk-based tests for a Federal Government entity. The position requires expertise in manual API testing, test planning in Azure DevOps, and automation using frameworks like Playwright.
Salary: $100.00 - $120.00 phr (incl. super)

Our client, a Federal Government entity is seeking a Test Analyst to join their team ASAP.
Duties:
- Collaborate with business representatives and a multidisciplinary Scrum team to understand expected system behaviours and workflows; clarify user stories and acceptance criteria; and design risk-based tests accordingly.
- Contribute to defect prevention by reviewing requirements, designs, and acceptance criteria early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Develop high-quality test cases using formal test design techniques; execute tests; and capture clear, auditable evidence with traceability to acceptance criteria.
- Test functionality within sprint timeframes while supporting a regular release cadence.
Skills & Experience:
- Advanced manual API testing expertise, including independent validation of payloads, business rules, headers, authentication, and HTTP status codes using tools such as Postman (or similar tools).
- High proficiency in Azure DevOps or similar tool, with a strong understanding of test planning, execution, defect lifecycle management, and traceability.
- Proven experience testing complex integrations and data flows across interconnected platforms (e.g. CRM or equivalent enterprise environments).
- Automation experience using Playwright or similar frameworks.
- Experience in automated API testing.
- Basic experience using collaborative workspace tools (e.g., Miro).
