Summary
Senior Test Analyst designs and executes manual/automated tests in Agile/DevOps, ensuring quality for payment software while tracking defects and improving testing processes.
The opportunity
You will own the full testing lifecycle in a quality-driven, Agile/DevOps environment where you don’t just execute tests- you shape strategies, improve processes, and directly influence product excellence.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Review business requirements and software design documentation to ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality assurance alignment.
- Design, author, and execute complex manual and automated test cases, including creation of test data and regression test suites.
- Investigate defects through log analysis, root cause identification, and detailed documentation, tracking issues using Jira and Confluence.
- Collect, manage, and analyze test results, ensuring accurate reporting and traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum (SAFe) teams, participating in story reviews, test demonstrations, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Apply strictly defined testing procedures, and also develop and maintain them when needed
- Actively support and participate in the implementation of Agile, DevOps and continuous integration processes

- You've got substantial knowledge in test automation tools & frameworks and understands the benefits of automation testing
- Ability to read and use development languages would be considered as an advantage
- Excellent understanding or experience in Agile, Dev-Ops and continuous integration
- Experience in using test management/tracking tools (JIRA, xRay, ...)
- Experience in payment industry or banking is nice-to-have
- 2-5 years' experience in testing and software development
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; German skills are an asset
- ISTQB foundation certification
