About The Role
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in improving software quality and reducing delivery risk through robust automated testing practices. You'll design, build and enhance automation frameworks that support functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing across critical business applications.
Working closely with Developers, Test Leads, Business Analysts and Platform teams, you'll help ensure our solutions are thoroughly tested and fit for purpose before release. You'll also contribute to the evolution of our testing capability by identifying opportunities to improve automation coverage, frameworks and quality engineering practices.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to help shape the future of test automation within a growing technology function.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain reusable automated test frameworks and test suites.• Develop automated tests to validate application functionality, business rules, integrations, user workflows and data integrity.• Analyse test results, investigate failures and work with delivery teams to resolve defects.• Support testing activities for platform releases, upgrades, production fixes and enhancements.• Participate in test planning, test execution, exploratory testing and defect management activities.• Ensure testing activities are delivered with the appropriate level of rigour to minimise business risk.• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.• Identify opportunities to improve automation frameworks, testing approaches and quality processes.• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and quality engineering excellence.

What You'll Bring
Essential

• Demonstrated experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role.• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and C#.• Experience designing, developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.• Experience in test planning, test execution and defect management.• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Desirable

• Experience with the Duck Creek insurance platform.• Knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry.• Experience with Playwright and/or AI-enabled testing approaches.• Experience using Azure DevOps, BitBar or similar tools.• Understanding of test automation best practices and modern quality engineering principles.
