Job Summary
We are seeking a test automation engineer with 4–6 years of experience in functional QA, test automation, ETL/data testing, and SQL, preferably within risk/finance banking applications.
Mandatory Skill-set
- 4–6 years of relevant software testing experience;
- Strong experience in functional QA, UAT, system integration, and regression testing;
- Strong SQL Server and advanced T-SQL skills;
- Hands-on ETL testing, data validation, reconciliation, and source-to-target testing;
- Strong Java-based test automation using JUnit/TestNG and Maven/Gradle;
- Experience testing Java/Spark-based data processing applications;
- Experience with data-driven test frameworks and large dataset validation;
- Knowledge of risk/finance applications and risk data such as deals, authorizations, guarantees, and RWA;
- Experience with data mapping, ETL requirements, and data quality validation;
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Desired Skill-set
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions, along with Git and scripting skills in Python/Bash/PowerShell;
- Exposure to Spark/Spark SQL, SAP BI, test data management, and Agile/Scrum practices.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into functional, integration, and automation test scenarios;
- Plan and execute UAT, functional, system integration, and regression testing for Risk and Finance applications;
- Perform ETL testing, source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, and large-volume data quality checks;
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, JUnit/TestNG, and Maven/Gradle;
- Validate data using SQL, T-SQL, Spark SQL, and automated comparison utilities;
- Perform data mapping, data flow validation, and testing of risk reporting processes;
- Analyze ETL, Spark, and application logs to identify data and processing issues;
- Collaborate with developers, business users, project managers, and support teams to resolve defects and implementation issues;
- Manage change requests, provide functional clarifications, and ensure timely implementation of solutions;
- Support L3 application issues and work with L1/L2 teams and business users to maintain application stability.
