QA Automation Engineer (Java/JavaScript)

🏢 Hybrid (Warsaw)

  • 1 office day every two weeks (Thursday)

  • Additional on-site planning sessions (2–3 days every 2–3 months)

About the role

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in both backend and frontend test automation (approx. 70% backend / 30% frontend). You'll play a key role in ensuring product quality, improving testing processes, and supporting engineering teams with automation best practices.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites

  • Perform integration, system, E2E, and UAT testing

  • Develop and execute API and web automation tests

  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure product stability

  • Conduct code reviews and improve QA standards

  • Support adoption of new testing tools and technologies

  • Mentor team members and share knowledge

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in QA Automation

  • Strong programming skills in Java and/or JavaScript

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Jira (Xray is a plus)

    • Git

    • Postman

  • Good understanding of:

    • CI/CD

    • SDLC

    • API testing

  • Experience with automation frameworks, performance testing, and code reviews

  • Solid knowledge of OOP, SOLID, and design patterns

Tech Stack

Web: Selenium, Selenide, Cypress, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber

API: REST Assured, TestNG/JUnit

Mobile: Appium, XCUI Test

Performance: Gatling, JMeter
