Test Automation Engineer

Summary

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Mobile and API using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Job Description:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Mobile and API.
  • Develop reusable automation frameworks and test components to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
  • Automate functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment processes.
  • Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, and coordinate with development teams to resolve identified defects.
  • Maintain test automation scripts and frameworks as application functionality and requirements evolve.
  • Participate in test planning, requirements review, code review, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Prepare automation reports, test execution results, defect documentation, and other QA artifacts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, reduce manual testing effort, and increase overall software quality

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in software testing with hands-on test automation experience.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or an equivalent language.
  • Experience with automation frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured, or equivalent.
  • Experience with API testing and automated validation of RESTful services.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Git, Agile/Scrum, defect-management, and test-management tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database validation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
