Test Automation Engineer - Selenium/Playwright Testing

Test Automation Engineer :

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer to design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications, APIs and software systems. The role focuses on building reliable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, identifying software defects and ensuring application quality through continuous testing.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs and backend systems.

- Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar tools.

- Develop reusable test components and automation utilities to improve testing efficiency.

- Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end automation testing.

- Automate API testing using Postman, REST Assured or similar frameworks.

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and application failures.

- Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

- Collaborate with developers and manual QA engineers to understand application requirements and testing scenarios.

- Identify, document and track defects using tools such as Jira.

- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure application compatibility.

- Validate database operations and backend functionality using SQL queries.

- Maintain test scripts, test data and automation documentation.

- Troubleshoot automation failures and improve test execution reliability.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improvements in automation standards and testing practices.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience in software test automation and quality assurance.

- Strong programming knowledge in Java, Python or JavaScript.

- Practical experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.

- Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications.

- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.

- Experience in API automation testing using REST Assured, Postman or equivalent tools.

- Understanding of automation framework design, reusable components and test execution strategies.

- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.

- Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.

- Understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.

- Experience with Docker and containerized test environments.

- Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments such as AWS or Azure.

- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

- Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.

- Exposure to mobile application automation using Appium.

- Understanding of test data management and automated test execution across multiple environments.
