Test Automation Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at TASKA Prosthetics as a Test Automation Engineer. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for strengthening the quality, reliability and efficiency of TASKA's software and connected product systems by developing, maintaining and improving automated test frameworks, hardware test tooling and quality practices across the software development lifecycle.

What you'll be doing:

  • Defines & maintains test standards, processes and documentation across the development team.

  • Embeds quality practices into the development workflow so that testing is built in rather than added after.

  • Works closely with developers to integrate testing into the development lifecycle.

  • Ensures digital products meet quality standards before release.

  • Identifies opportunities for test automation that reduce manual effort and improve overall team efficiency.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and the broader TASKA Prosthetics team.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience and capability.

  • Proven software development experience, with proficiency in Python and related frameworks.

  • A working familiarity with hardware and hardware communication protocols (serial, USB, BLE, or similar).

  • Software development experience with a focus on testing, debugging and quality assurance.

  • Ability to design, build and maintain automated test frameworks targeting web, mobile and API platforms.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
