Role & responsibilities

Selected candidate would be responsible a specific project or several projects within an organization. They are responsible to translates client requirements into application features and ensures the timely delivery of fully functional software applications. They are responsible for understanding client needs, design and write programs that run automatic tests on new or existing software

Preferred candidate profile

1. At least 4 years of overall experience with 2 years of relevant hands-on experience, in development & maintenance of automation test suites for functionality and integration use cases, in global projects or in software Product Company.

2. Comprehensive understanding of tools for development of test harnesses and test scripting including Selenium, SOAP UI, Postman, etc.

3. Experience in developing and executing functional test scripts.

4. Has strong understanding and working experience of Agile-based project delivery.

5. Ability to write simple SQL scripts to create and manipulate test data.

6. Experience with Issue tracking software.

7. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN, Git, Bitbucket.

8. In addition to the above competencies, at least one of the test automation engineers should also meet the following competencies.

(i) Should have experience in QA and Testing of biometric solutions.

(ii) Responsible for functional testing of all applications using automated test scripts and manually.

9. Prepare Product Design documents for functional & performance test automation with complete coverage of all functionalities across releases.

10. Develop and implement automated test harnesses, as per approved design, and execute automated regression and performance tests across different non-production environments.

11. Translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans, preparation & execution of test plans.

12. Ensure the source code repository is up to date with the latest test plans, test data, other functional test scripts.

13.Responsible for developing sanity test scripts.

14.Responsible for ensuring sanity tests for all application releases in the Staging/QA etc environment.

15.Manage applications in Staging/QA environment.
