Test Automation | Java/Python/Selenium

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python and Java.
• Develop automated tests for Android/iOS mobile applications using Appium.
• Create and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end automation tests for CGM applications.
• Validate communication and data exchange between the CGM device, mobile application, and backend/cloud services.
• Perform BLE testing, including device discovery, pairing, connection stability, data transmission, reconnection, and communication failure scenarios.
• Develop automated tests for critical CGM workflows such as device onboarding, sensor lifecycle, glucose data synchronization, alerts/notifications, and connectivity scenarios.
• Test application and device behavior under different connectivity conditions, including BLE disconnections, reconnections, intermittent connectivity, and background/foreground transitions.
• Conduct device stability and reliability testing over extended periods and across different usage conditions.
• Perform performance testing of the application and connected-device workflows, identifying bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, battery, network, and BLE communication.
• Analyze test failures, logs, device traces, and application behavior to identify root causes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution across builds and environments.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong hands-on programming experience in Python.
• Strong experience with Appium and mobile application automation.
• Experience testing Android and/or iOS applications.
• Hands-on exposure to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) testing.
• Experience with device stability, reliability, and endurance testing.
• Experience with application/device performance testing.
• Experience with PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent frameworks.
• Good understanding of REST API testing/automation.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.

Good to Have skills

• Experience with CGM, medical devices, wearable devices, IoT, or connected-health products.
• Understanding of BLE GATT/GAP, services, characteristics, notifications, pairing, and bonding.
• Experience with BLE protocol analysis/debugging tools.
• Experience with ADB, Android Studio, logcat, and Android performance profiling.
• Exposure to iOS debugging/profiling tools.
• Exposure to FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, or other medical-device quality/regulatory standards.
