Test Barn Escort
Summary
Escorts winning horses and other selected horses to the test barn at a race track/casino, ensuring no foreign substances are administered during transport and maintaining safety. Also carries groom apron bags between the holding barn and winner's circle, maintains pony horses, and assists with loose horses between races.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
Escort race winner along with other horses determined by the stewards to the test barn for testing.
- Ensures no unscrupulous behavior occurs during the walk to test barn (no administration of drugs or any foreign substances).
- Assists in the safety of escorting said horses to the test barn. (should the horse in question gets loose escort attempts to catch the horse)
- Carries groom apron bag to and from holding barn to the winners circle for every race.
- Maintains own pony horses and assists outriders with loose horses between races.
