Test Engineer (TE)

Position Summary

The Test Engineer is responsible fordeveloping, optimizing, and sustaining test processes and systems used inoptical transceiver manufacturing. This role ensures accurate productvalidation, stable test performance, and high test yield through test systemdevelopment, calibration control, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop,validate, and maintain test processes and systems, including:

· Functionaltest

· Performancevalidation

· Calibrationprocedures

· Performand analyze test parameters such as:

· BER

· Eyediagram

· Opticalpower

· Signalintegrity

· Troubleshootand resolve:

· Testfailures

· Correlationissues

· Equipment-relatedproblems

· Establishand maintain:

· Testspecifications

· Calibrationstandards

· Testprocedures

· Ensureproper test station calibration and correlation across productionlines

· Support NewProduct Introduction (NPI):

· Testdevelopment

· Validationand qualification

· Optimizetest efficiency and reduce test cost

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related discipline

Experience

· 5+years of experience in optical or high-speed electronics testing

  • Experience in optical transceiver manufacturing or telecom/datacom products is preferred

Technical Skills

· Strongunderstanding of optical and electrical test principles, including:

· Eyediagram analysis

· BitError Rate (BER)

· Jittermeasurement

· OpticalModulation Amplitude (OMA)

· ExtinctionRatio (ER)

· Receiversensitivity

· Hands-onexperience with test equipment:

· DigitalCommunication Analyzer (DCA)

· BitError Rate Tester (BERT)

· OpticalPower Meter

· OpticalSpectrum Analyzer (OSA)

· Knowledgeof:

· Testcalibration and correlation methods

· Testsystem architecture and automation

· Opticaltransceiver structures (TOSA, ROSA, BOSA, PIC, DSP)

· Manufacturing flow (SMT → DB → WB → AA →Test)

Soft Skills

· Stronganalytical and troubleshooting capability

· Attentionto detail and data-driven mindset

· Effectivecross-functional communication
