Test Engineer

Objectives

We are seeking a Test Engineer with around 2 years of experience to support manual and automated testing, help maintain test automation, and contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-quality software within an agile development environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated tests to assess software quality and verify requirements.
• Support the creation, maintenance, and execution of automated test cases using tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks.
• Assist in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI/CD.
• Analyze requirements and collaborate with the team to define test scenarios and test cases.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects, communicating findings clearly to the relevant teams.
• Work closely with developers and testers in an agile Scrum team and participate in team ceremonies.
• Read and understand source code, such as Java, where useful for test design and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to test documentation and continuous improvement of testing practices.

Tech Skills

• Knowledge of software testing principles and practical experience with manual testing.
• Around 2 years of experience in software testing, with exposure to test automation.
• Familiarity with at least one testing or test management tool, such as Squash or a similar tool.
• Basic understanding of Git, CI/CD concepts, and test integration into delivery pipelines.
• Introductory scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl are an advantage.
• Basic programming knowledge, preferably Java, and familiarity with Selenium or similar tools are an advantage.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working.

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Around 2 years of relevant work experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and participate in knowledge-sharing within the company.
