Test Engineer
Summary
Plans, executes, and documents laboratory testing to validate product performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance for thermal products. Requires an engineering degree, 3+ years of testing/validation experience, and data analysis skills, with preferred exposure to LabVIEW, PLCs, Python, and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product testing, validation, quality engineering, reliability engineering, or laboratory testing.
- Experience designing and executing engineering test programs and validation plans.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical data.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel.
- Experience within HVAC, thermal management, electromechanical, industrial, automotive, or consumer product industries.
- Experience with automated testing and control systems such as LabVIEW, Siemens PLCs, Allen-Bradley PLCs, or similar platforms.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, VBA, LabVIEW, Structured Text, or Function Block Diagram (FBD).
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation from NI, Keysight, Ahlborn, or similar suppliers.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, DIAdem, MATLAB, or equivalent software.
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE), Verification & Validation (V&V), and statistical process analysis.
- Experience working with product certification and compliance requirements including UL, CSA, IEC, CE, or similar standards.
- Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and other risk assessment methodologies.
- Understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering specifications.
