In this role as a Test Engineer (E2) is to work within our Anti Money Laundering Engineering team. Ensuring we profile and screen our members, and their transactions is key to ensuring we can demonstrate adherence to Anti Money Laundering policy and regulation.
We need high-performing individuals to join our AML Screening Testing Team to create and embed test solutions to ensure that we deliver quality solutions at pace that meet agreed business outcomes within Economic Crime.
You’ll work within a small team to ensure we deliver quality solutions to our colleagues and members, protecting the society from financial crime.

What you’ll be doing
Based on the considerable experience and testing expertise you bring, you will join the Economic Crime Testing team. Reporting to the Test Lead, you will collaborate within Agile feature teams comprising Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and fellow Test Engineers. You will contribute to delivering high-quality testing solutions that ensure Screening applications, NICE Actimize and Risk Scoring platforms operate effectively, securely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role offers exciting opportunities to develop expertise in Quality Engineering, Financial Crime technologies, Screening, Risk Scoring, and test automation. We are looking for someone with the drive to learn, challenge existing approaches, and continuously improve testing practices. A key focus will be supporting the growth of the Testing Centre of Excellence by sharing knowledge, promoting best practices, contributing to quality improvements, and staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
About you
What we are looking for:
- Hands-on experience with NICE Actimize applications including Watch List Filtering (WLX)
- Hands-on experience around AIS, ActOne, UDM, On-Demand, Real-Time, and Ad Hoc Screening applications with strong knowledge of screening workflows, alert management, and system integrations
- Strong Financial Crime and AML Screening domain expertise, including Sanctions, PEP, Adverse Media, Risk Scoring, KYC, CDD, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience testing with Name Screening solutions, covering screening reports, alert validation, data quality assessments, and operational processes
- Hands-on experience with Immigration Act Screening solutions, including Daily and Quarterly Screening, screening controls, regulatory obligations, and Synectics-based implementations
- Strong data analysis and validation skills, including SQL, data reconciliation, defect investigation, root cause analysis, and business rule validation
- Experience with AI-assisted testing using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Postman AI to improve test design, coverage, and efficiency through automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience in test planning and execution, including test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, defect management, and test reporting
- Ability to interpret business, technical, and regulatory requirements and translate them into effective test coverage and risk-based testing approaches
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across Business, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams in highly regulated environments
- Understanding of test automation and CI/CD practices, with experience supporting quality engineering and continuous testing initiatives
