Test Engineer

Summary

Test Engineer builds and runs automated tests for web apps using Playwright, tracks bugs, and validates fixes to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Position Overview:

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for the testing and validation of the IRT systems. Working closely with the Lead Test Engineer, Testing Engineer - Senior and Project team, they are responsible for delivering a high quality system to the client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for complex web applications. Experience in the pharmaceutical or clinical domain is a significant advantage. Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for testing through the entire lifecycle of a project, including test case development, execution and verification.
  • Tracking and reporting software defects, along with verifying resolved issues in ticket tracking application.
  • Support validation efforts by acquiring evidence during testing phase, as well as generating validation reports at cycle end.
  • Proactively works to understand the major components of the product through training and client assignments.
  • Strong in database queries, Stored Procedures and View testing
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define quality requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automatic test execution.
  • Utilizes in-depth product knowledge to anticipate client needs and address complex issues.
  • Provides guidance and sets priorities for the Test Engineer on project.

  • Required skill

  • Must have experience in IRT/RTSM domain
  • Hands on experience in software testing concepts (manual & automation)
  • Familiarity with any programming language such as Java or C# is a plus
  • Working experience of web applications and how they work
  • Hands-on experience of testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or JMeter (good to have)
  • Good knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Self-motivated, curious, and proactive attitude

    2-6 years’ experience working in software testing/ Quality Assurance

    Education

    Completed graduation in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
