Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Embedded Software Testing or SDET roles.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Pytest.
  • Solid experience working in Linux environments, including command line and shell scripting.
  • Experience testing embedded systems, firmware, or hardware/software integrated products.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, or SPI/I2C is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English level.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for embedded software using Python and Pytest.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing on embedded Linux platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
  • Analyze test results, investigate failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
  • Work with Linux-based systems, including scripting, log analysis, and debugging.
  • Validate firmware functionality on embedded hardware and support hardware/software integration testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and system engineering teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, automation scripts, and test reports.
  • Continuously improve test processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
