UNCOMN is seeking a Test Engineer (Mid) to:
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test plans, test cases, test scripts, testing libraries, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, user acceptance, operational, verification, and validation testing across enterprise environments.
  • Independently develop and maintain an enterprise test repository supporting multiple software baselines, operating system versions, hardware platforms, and network architectures.
  • Develop and maintain reusable testing libraries and test assets supporting: Microsoft Windows operating systems, Windows Server platforms, Active Directory services, Microsoft security baselines, HP hardware platforms, Cisco routing and switching infrastructure, Risk Management Framework-related validation activities
  • Collaborate with developers to build, maintain, and enhance automated tests using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
  • Analyze functional, technical, cybersecurity, and operational requirements to develop effective test strategies, test procedures, acceptance criteria, and traceability documentation.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
  • Verify corrective actions and software fixes through retesting and regression testing, ensuring established quality and acceptance standards are met.
  • Provide test status, coverage, defect trends, readiness assessments, and other quality indicators to technical and program leadership.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of related software, systems, infrastructure, network, or enterprise testing experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
  • Demonstrated experience independently developing, organizing, and maintaining enterprise test repositories, test libraries, test procedures, and reusable test assets.
  • Experience testing enterprise systems across multiple software baselines, operating system versions, hardware platforms, and network architectures.
  • Working knowledge of software and systems development life cycles, testing methodologies, quality assurance practices, and defect-management processes.
  • Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, JIRA, TestRail, or comparable technologies.
  • Meet (or exceed) DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) certification/education requirements for Testing and Evaluation Specialist (671 - Intermediate), interested candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering or an active CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GSEC, PenTest+, Security+, SSCP, or CCSP certification.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred
  • Hands-on experience testing Microsoft Windows operating systems, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft security baseline configurations.
  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Experience validating HP hardware platforms and Cisco routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of applicable compliance standards and quality frameworks, including NIST guidance, Section 508, ISO, or CMMI.
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or Agile-related QA credentials.
