Test Engineer

The test engineer will have a wide variety of responsibilities with a primary focus on product testing. This is a high-on role with access to a variety of testing machines as well as advanced metrology equipment. Individuals with a solid engineering background, strong mechanical aptitude, are self-motivated, and can solve problems will be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage test projects from inception to completion. This may include determining the optimal way to achieve goals, developing a test plan, designing tooling, troubleshooting issues, collecting data, and presenting results and conclusions in detailed formal written reports.
• Utilize advanced metrology equipment to review tested bearings, confirm accuracy of developed tooling, and other purposes.
• Collaborate with engineers, metallurgists, and technicians regarding a wide range of bearing-related projects
• Manage relationships with outside vendors and suppliers related to tooling and services
• All other duties as assigned

Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME preferred)
• 1-5 years’ experience in a hands-on engineering role. (consideration given for internships)
• Uses engineering principles to solve problems and develop appropriate action plans
• Possess solid communication skills; both written and interpersonal
• Collaborates with peers and supervisor for guidance. Escalates problems and roadblocks as they occur.
• Experience with 3D CAD software
• Has strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience doing hands on mechanical work and is comfortable utilizing a variety of tools
• Ability to work independently on multiple simultaneous projects and drive each to formal conclusion.
