Test Engineer
Summary
Supports New Product Introduction and sustaining programs through PCB schematic and layout design, test software development and automation, and circuit validation and troubleshooting.
Job Summary:
Provides engineering support to the Test Development Engineering team through test hardware development, software development, circuit validation, and project execution activities supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining programs.
Responsibilities:
Test Hardware Development (35%)
- PCB schematic capture for reliability and test boards
- PCB layout for reliability and test boards
- Component and PCB library creation and maintenance
- Support hardware design reviews and documentation
- Support hardware architecture standardization initiatives
Software Development & Automation (30%)
- Develop and maintain software tools to improve engineering productivity
- Support automation of engineering workflows and test-related processes
- Develop utilities for data collection, analysis, reporting, and visualization
- Maintain and enhance internally developed engineering applications
Circuit Design & Validation (20%)
- Validate and troubleshoot custom circuitry
- Solder and desolder prototype circuits and components
- Perform bench evaluation, measurement, and verification of hardware designs
- Document validation results and recommendations
Project Execution & Documentation (15%)
- Support AER lot execution and monitoring
- Maintain PLM documentation and engineering records
- Create and maintain test plans, validation matrices, and engineering reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Basic knowledge of software development principles and programming concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fresh graduate or 0–1-year related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, VB.NET, or similar.
- Familiarity with software development, scripting, and automation concepts.
- Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Knowledge of semiconductor test, product qualification, or reliability testing concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
