Test Engineer / Software Tester (AMK)
Summary
A Test Engineer based in Singapore responsible for hands-on manual and automated testing, test planning, defect management, and test documentation, collaborating closely with developers and product managers.
Test Planning & Strategy
- Assist in developing comprehensive test strategies and test plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Define test objectives, acceptance criteria and testing priorities based on software requirements and business goals.
- Ensure testing activities are aligned with project timelines and deliverables.
Test Execution
- Perform hands-on manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance and security.
- Conduct regression testing, exploratory testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Review test cases and test scripts to ensure accuracy and adequate test coverage.
Test Automation
- Support and promote test automation best practices.
- Contribute to increasing automation coverage across applications and systems.
- Continuously improve test automation infrastructure to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Defect Management
- Establish and maintain effective defect-tracking processes.
- Ensure defects are properly documented, prioritised, tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
- Communicate defects, testing progress and outstanding issues to relevant stakeholders.
Test Documentation
- Prepare and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases and test reports.
- Ensure testing documentation remains accurate, up-to-date and accessible to the team.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with software developers, product managers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues and improve overall product quality.
- Provide clear updates on testing progress, results, risks and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
