Test Engineer (SPC & DV)
Summary
Maintains and improves thermal processing equipment (ovens/chambers) for reliability, automates processes, and supports testing and validation in a manufacturing environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and improve oven/chamber equipment, including control systems, software, setup parameters, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, Lean practices, process optimization, and cycle time reduction.
Manage chamber spare parts, inventory, and supplier support to minimize equipment downtime.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support thermal stress testing, burn-in, environmental testing, and new product qualification activities.
Evaluate, qualify, and validate oven/chamber equipment and setups before production release.
Monitor equipment performance, analyze trends, and improve equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and energy efficiency.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, maintenance records, calibration reports, and safety procedures.
Provide technical training and support to manufacturing teams on chamber operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with Safety, ESD, Cleanroom, Quality, ISO, and regulatory requirements, and support internal and customer audits.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Process, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues and support smooth production operations.
Perform risk assessments, stop any unsafe or non-conforming equipment operation when necessary, and carry out other duties assigned by the immediate superior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering/Computer Science
- At least 1 yr of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience & testing methodologies. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
- With good computer literacy, good communication skill and reporting of information/data. Strong interest in computer hardware engineering.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting a wide range of desktop software and components.
Experience in equipment's Total Control Methodology.
