Technician troubleshoots hardware test failures, maintains test systems, and guides production staff in a server/rack testing environment using Linux and basic scripting.

πŸ“ Job Responsibilities

  • Understand and interpret Test Process Instructions (TPI) and provide guidance to production testers.
  • Support operators during testing activities and troubleshoot test-related issues.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production test failures.
  • Create and maintain Golden Images (GI) for servers and ensure accuracy of test database information.
  • Develop and configure rack test templates based on Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Instructions (EI).
  • Work closely with software and engineering teams to deploy rack configurations into test systems.
  • Maintain database records for new components such as switches and power shelves.
  • Raise technical issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Maintain training records and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians when required.

βœ… Requirements

  • Diploma / Associate Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in testing, manufacturing, or hardware support environment.
  • Candidates without relevant qualifications but with 4+ years of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in server, rack, or hardware testing environments will be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux / DOS operating systems.
  • Understanding of basic electrical concepts.
  • Intermediate computer hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic network hardware troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Ability to understand Python or other programming scripts.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

⏰ Working Hours

Training Period (First 3 Months):
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

After Training:
Weekly rotating 12-hour shifts:

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Available shift patterns:

  • Team A: Monday to Thursday
  • Team B: Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday
  • Team C: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

All Sundays are rest days.
