Test Lead / Test Manager - Azure-hosted secure environment - NV1 Required

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead / Test Manager to join a major enterprise technology program within a secure environment.

Location: Melbourne – 3 days office / 2 days WFH
Duration: Immediate start through to February 2027, with potential extension
Day Rate: Up to $1050 including super
Security Clearance: NV1 minimum

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the integrated test approach across multiple vendors and workstreams, ensuring testing is coordinated, governed and aligned across the program.

You will own the overall Test Strategy, covering test planning, environments, test data, requirements traceability, defect management, quality gates and reporting across the full testing lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the overall Test Strategy across vendors and workstreams.
• Define test approaches, quality objectives, test plans and schedules.
• Manage testing across FUT, SIT, UAT, E2E, Performance, TVT, BVT and PVT phases.
• Establish entry and exit criteria, test cases, test data and environment readiness.
• Lead defect management, including reporting on outcomes, risks and quality metrics.
• Coordinate vendor test activities to ensure testing is integrated and not performed in isolation.
• Manage Dev, Test, UAT and Pre-Production environments.
• Identify and manage testing risks, dependencies and readiness.
• Support release, deployment, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.
• Ensure appropriate governance of test data within secure environments.
• Provide clear testing progress and status reporting to key stakeholders.

Experience

• Strong experience as a Test Lead or Test Manager within complex enterprise programs.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end testing across multiple vendors and workstreams.
• Strong experience across SIT, UAT, E2E and performance testing.
• Experience establishing test strategies, plans, quality gates and defect management processes.
• Experience managing test environments, test data and release readiness.
• Experience working with Azure-hosted secure environments.
• Exposure to Power Platform, Azure DevOps/ALM and secure connector governance.
• Knowledge of Entra ID, MFA and secure remote access.
• Exposure to Azure Monitor, Application Insights, KQL and security monitoring integrations.
• Experience managing sensitive test data and associated governance is highly desirable.
• NV1 security clearance (minimum) is required.
