Test Lead
Job Details **About ** We are partnering with a large, complex organisation undergoing ongoing payroll and people systems change. They are looking for a hands-on Test Lead to coordinate and execute testing across payroll and workforce management systems in a BAU environment. This role is not an implementation or program-testing position. Instead, you will be responsible for leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for configuration changes, legislative updates, EBA changes, system enhancements and operational releases. You'll work closely with payroll, HR, technology teams and vendors to ensure changes are thoroughly tested before deployment. This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Test Analyst looking to step into their first leadership role, or an experienced Test Lead who enjoys remaining hands-on rather than managing large programs or teams. What you'll be doing Leading a small testing team of 3-4 testers while remaining actively involved in testing activities; Planning, coordinating and executing UAT across payroll and people systems; Developing test cases, executing tests, capturing evidence and managing defects; Producing testing reports, managing risks and supporting go/no-go decisions; Working with vendors once configuration changes are delivered into non-production environments; Coordinating regression and release testing activities; Identifying opportunities to improve testing efficiency and quality; and Supporting automated testing capabilities where appropriate. What we're looking for Experience leading or coordinating testing activities within payroll, HR, workforce management or enterprise systems environments; Strong hands-on UAT experience; Ability to guide and mentor a small team; Experience writing test cases, executing tests and managing defects; Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills; and Continuous improvement mindset and a desire to challenge existing processes. Highly regarded Oracle Payroll, Oracle HCM, SAP Payroll or Kronos/UKG experience; Exposure to Enterprise Agreements (EA) or Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) related system changes; and Experience supporting payroll or people systems in a BAU environment.
